i went to Taken 2 last night and it was intense! i feel like it was even more fast paced and dramatic than the first one. there were some really disturbing things that the "bad guys" were doing...it made me a little bit sick to my stomach. anyway, here is the trailer that i watched before. i thought it was really interesting how the music at the end is very different from the chaotic clips being shown. it almost makes it more intense.
I saw Taken 2 last weekend too. It was really intense and I was clinging to my husband the whole time. I think his arm fell asleep from me holding it so tight. It made me think about our discussion of fear in the media. Honestly, I didn't like it as much as the first and being in this media class has made me think more critically about my media. With all the violence, I was thinking "Is this really worth it?" I still haven't answered that question. What do you think?
I heard most people didn't like it has much as the first. Which I guess is understandable because the first is fantastic. I haven't gone to see it yet. Is it in the dollar theater?
I saw that movie on a first date a couple weekends ago. I too thought it was super intense, and there was one point where I felt sick to my stomach. My date loved it! It made me wonder - why do some people respond to violence so strongly, when it doesn't bother others. Interesting.
I haven't seen either of these movies...I've heard they are really good, but every time I think about seeing them, one of my friends (or husband) says, "don't see it, you won't appreciate it cause it's too violent for you!" Probably true, but I really want to see them cause I do hear they are very good.
I have seen the first it was disturbing enough that I don't care to see the second. The first one was really good and intense and sucks you in though! I just don't care to watch violent movies anymore.
